Time Capsule Treasures
After two weeks of constructing and decorating, our 2023 time capsules are ready for storage. Since returning this January, kids have been learning about time capsules and working to create their own. We completed the outside of the capsules at Sapna and learners were tasked to take their time capsules home this past weekend, filling them with treasures and memories. Some suggestions were photographs of friends and family, letters, small toys, favorite cards, notes from parents, favorites list, samples of work/handwriting, and more!
We loved listening to the kids share their favorite things and talk about what they planned to put inside. All our learners are so different and special. This activity gave them all a chance to share what makes them unique, however it also showed them how much they all have in common. Favorite candy at Sapna has to be lollipops! Hands down!
One year from now, we will ask learners to bring their time capsules back in and share what's inside. We look forward to seeing how we have all grown and changed throughout the year.
